This is the course blog for WRRH100: Writer’s Seminar, Fall 2008.
All references to the course reader are comments related to readings from Signs of Life In the USA: Readings on Popular Culture for Writers, 5th edition.
from the course syllabus:
“There is a blog element for this course. I have created a course blog that I will keep updated with entries related to the course theme, Critical Response to American Popular Culture. Here is where you will find information referencing issues related to popular culture with critical response discussion ideas. It will be in your best interest to read our course blog a couple of times a week as I expect blog topics to move to our classroom discussions. In addition, you may find a variety of ideas for assignment topics. I also encourage you to post comments and interact with the discussions that may take place in the comments section of the blog. Please note: this is a public blog! This means that while our course is the blog focus, I have allowed for any reader to post comments, per my approval. By doing so, I hope to expand our community of writers to one that includes readers from other spaces so feel free to share the link. The course blog address can be found under Required Materials listed in this syllabus. I suggest you place the blog URL in your favorites bar on your computer so you will be reminded to read it regularly.
In addition to the course blog, you will each be creating and keeping a blog for yourself during the course of the semester. We will set these up in class; your blogs will be where you will compose all of your informal writing. It will also be where you will focus your writing for the Online Blog Project, to be discussed later in the semester.”
